Fundamental Estate Planning

Beyond The Basics: Using Trusts to your Maximum Advantage - Trusts save time, money and keep things private. You’ll learn why we say, “No client of ours will die without a trust” if we have anything to say about it.

Do Any of the Following Describe You?

  • You Have Accumulated $100,000 or more in Assets and Home Equity

  • You Want A Trust For You And Your Children

  • You Want A Hedge Against Estate Taxes

  • You Have Property In Another State

  • You Are Within Fifteen Years Of Retirement

  • You Want No Probate For Your Estate

  • You Want No Taxes On Your Estate

  • You Have Heard Of The Possible Advantages Of Trusts And Want To Know More

… If so, then you should be learning about writing a trust agreement, taking effect now, naming yourself (typically) as trustee and as the primary beneficiary.  You still need the basics of a Fundamental Estate Plan™

Features of Lifetime Trust Planning:

  • A trust is an agreement under which you will hold and administer assets for your welfare while living and for the welfare of loved ones after you are gone.
  • You submit your assets to the Trust – meaning you:
    (a) re-title assets under the ownership of the Trust (Your Name, Trustee of the Your-Name Trust) or
    (b) change beneficiaries or contingent beneficiaries (depending on the type of account) to the Trust.
  • The Trust acts to pre-settle your estate, without probate (when assets are properly maintained).
  • The Trust offers some protection from claims against your estate and claims against heirs.
  • The Trust may be designed to minimize most estate tax liabilities.
  • You are advised on exactly how to submit your assets to the Trust (known as “funding”).
  • You are invited to workshops to stay current with events, laws, and techniques affecting your Lifetime Trust Plan.

If you wish to save estate and income taxes on an estate of over One Million, OR you wish to have lasting protection of assets for your HEIRS (protecting from their divorces, debt, disability or dissipation), then turn to our Family Protection Planning for more information.
