He helps them think deeply about what’s possible, affirm what they really care about, and confidently plan to make a significant impact on the people, causes, and organizations they care about most.

Ron is a gifted and passionate speaker, teacher, and advisor on the topics of financial independence, personal legacy, philanthropy, planned giving strategies, and “zero-estate tax” solutions. He teaches regularly on behalf of tax, legal, financial and other professional colleagues, and charities.

Ron’s approach to life and legacy planning is detailed in a book he co-authored with Greg Hammond, You Can Do More That Matters. Published in 2013 and available in print, electronic, and audio formats, the book is a unique guide that serves as a “how to” for individuals and families who hope to discover and act upon their excess wealth. The book’s information, advice, and illustrations are drawn from Ron and Greg’s substantial base of experience and expertise in financial and estate planning. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book are directed to the Do More That Matters Foundation Fund, founded by the authors to support domestic and international organizations and initiatives that seek to improve the lives of children and families through leadership development, economic development, health and wellness, and education.

A long-time member of Community Covenant Church (Rehoboth, MA) Ron serves on the church’s governing Board of Elders. He also has been part of the core leadership team for his church’s work in Haiti since 2007. Guided and inspired by the aid model described in the book, When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor . . . and Yourself (Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert), the team has been instrumental in initiating and fostering growth in three areas critical to Haiti’s future: leadership, economic development, and knowledge transfer.

Ron earned a Juris Doctorate from Regent University in Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College in Rhode Island. He is a life-long entrepreneur and has been part of closely-held businesses since childhood.
